How to Add a Labor Crew

This article will show you how to add a Labor Crew. Crews are assigned Products and used to calculate labor cost in Proposals and scheduling Crews for Jobs. 



Create a Crew

Step 1: Click the "Crew" option under "Product Settings" on the Left Navigation Bar


Step 2: This will show a list of Equipment. Click the blue "Create Equipment Piece" button in the upper, right corner. 


Step 3: Enter the associated information about the Crew

  • Name: This is the internal name for the Crew. 
  • Display Name: This is the name of the Crew that should appear in Proposals. 
    • Example: If there are multiple Sealcoat Crews, a company may refer to one Crew as Dave's Crew and another as Marty's Crew. However, Dave's Crew and Marty's Crew should not appear in Proposals to Clients. Input "Slurry Crew" into the Display name and "Slurry Crew" will show in Proposals. 
      • Dave's Crew and Marty's Crew will be used when Scheduling and Work Orders to differentiate and Maintain internal terminology. 
  • Default Foreman: Assign the default Foreman that should be notified of new Jobs, Scheduled Jobs, and who should be inputting Job Costing. This can be changed later at the Job/Proposal level. 
  • Rate: Enter the hourly rate for this Crew
  • Color: This is color that will be used on the Scheduling Calendar to differentiate between Crews. 

Step 4: Click Create in the bottom right corner.
