How to Add Products to a Product Type?

Bitumio > Left Navigation Bar > Product Settings > Product


1. Follow the workflow mentioned above to land on the Organization Product Type screen.


2. A product type to which you want to add product(s) to, click the icon under the Actions column. Doing so reveals a list of options.



3. From these options, click Create Product. This takes you to the Create Product screen.



4. Here, if it is a sub-contracted product, enable the Subcontracted product toggle. This removes the area coverage section from the details. 



5. Name the product using the Name field.



6. Select measurement method for the product using the Measurement Method dropdown.



7. Select the material cost type using the Material Cost Type dropdown. This defines how the cost for the selected material would be measured. For instance, per block.



8. Once the type is selected, enter the material cost in the Material Cost field.



9. Similarly, select how the labor cost will be calculated using the Labor Cost Type dropdown. Whether the labor will be paid per job, per man hour, or per unit completed.



10. Moving towards the area coverage calculation, enter crack depth in the Crack Depth field.



11. Enter the crack width in the Crack Width field.



12. Enter the overband width in the Overband Width field.



13. Enter the overband thickness using the Overband Thickness field.



14. In case you want to calculate area coverage for a specific product, click the button. Doing so opens the Calculate Area Coverage window. Here, choose the product you want to calculate area coverage for using the Select Product dropdown. As a product is selected, the Pounds Per Gallon and Pounds Per Block fields are auto-populated based on the system calculations.



15. Select the crew you need for the product using the What Crew is needed for this product dropdown.



16. Enter the minimum cost of the proposal in the Minimum Proposal Cost field.



17. Similarly, enter the minimum cost of the product in the Minimum Product Cost field.



18. Enter the markup percentage, indirect percentage, and overhead percentage in the respective fields.



19. Use the rich text editor under the Statement of Work heading to develop a statement of work. You can put placeholders by selecting the required placeholder from the Placeholders dropdown.


20. In case you want to add an equipment piece, click the button. This adds a row for the equipment piece and its quantity to be recorded. If you want to remove the row, click the trashcan icon.



21. To create an equipment piece, click the button.

 

22. In case you want to add additional costs, click the button.




23. To create additional cost, click the button.



24. Once the required details are recorded, click the button.
