This article will show you how to add a plant from which material will be purchased for products like Asphalt and Slurry. This is how Trucking cost and types of trucks used will be determined within Proposals. 

Create a Materials Plant

Step 1: Click the "Plants" option under "Product Settings" on the Left Navigation Bar

Step 2: This will show a list of Plants. Click the blue "Create Plant" button in the upper, right corner. 

Step 3: Enter the associated information about the Plant

• Name: Name of the Plant. This will appear on Work Orders
• Phone: Phone number of the Plant. 
• Address Line 1: Physical Address of the Plant
• Address Line 2 (Optional)
• Address City: City in which the Plant is located. 
• Address State: State in which the Plant is located.
• Address Zip: Zip Code of Plant
• Address Country: The Country in which the Plant is Located. 
• Add Product: Plants can carry different types of Products (i.e. Asphalt, Road Base, etc.). Each product will have a different cost and weight which is used when calculating Proposal amounts and Materials amounts. Add as many product types as that Plant carries. 
  • Type: Select the Type of Product
  • Rate: Enter the your Cost of that product to buy from the Plant
• Transfer Trucks: Each Plant may have different trucks they use to transfer material. Define which trucks are available at this specific plant with their associated costs. 
  • Name: Name of the Truck available (i.e. Dump Truck vs Dump Truck and Pup)
  • Tonnage: How much can this truck haul in a single load? 
  • Rate (hourly): What is the hourly rate for this truck to haul material? 
  • Rate (ton): If the Plant charges per ton to haul material, what is the rate per ton hauled?
