Measuring on Map Tool

Step 1: Click the "Map" option on the Left Navigation Bar

Step 2: Enter your job location in the text field and the address will populate in below.

Step 3: Select the proper address and the map will navigate to the desired location for measurement.

Step 4: To measure an area, select the "P" button and choose your desired color from the palette. Begin clicking the perimeter of the area you would like to measure. To complete the polygon, simply click the first point to close. The area measurement will be found in the white box centered on the map as shown:

Step 5: To subtract an island or area, begin clicking your points around desired area and connect to first point to close. The map will recognize that it is within the original measurement and ask you if you want to create and island. Select "OK"

Step 6: To add linear measurements, select the "L" button and begin measuring desired distance. Click the last point to close the linear measurement. The total measurement will be calculated and shown both in the box on the upper left side and on the box within the map. This title box can be relocated by simply clicking and dragging to desired location.

Step 7: To mark any specific locations, select the "M" button and begin dropping markers throughout the map.
